Never worry about data protection again
Small and medium-sized enterprises risk losing thousands of dollars worth of data every day because the companies are insufficiently protected against data loss. Newly founded GDM Software now offers a data management solution specifically tailored to the vulnerable SMEs and sets itself apart from the costly corporate systems through affordability and customizable services, which fit the specific needs of each company.
New York/Copenhagen, January 30, 2012 – In 2011, a survey carried out by the independent research firm, Coleman Parkes, found that 95 pct. of the organizations surveyed had experienced data or application loss in the course of the last year. As we live in an increasingly digital world, computers are prerequisite for doing business and the laptops in most companies store data worth many thousands of dollars. However, especially small and medium-sized enterprises are vulnerable to data loss as the market only offers expensive and comprehensive solutions for major companies or insufficient protection systems intended for consumer-level use.
Global Data Management Software, a new data protection company, was founded by Daniel C. Elfort, formerly of key positions in e.g. Canon, CA and Broadvision, to supply the many SMEs around the world with an affordable data management system, which is customized the specific needs of each company. GDM Software has partnered up with IBM to create a data protection solution that caters to the small companies instead of the major corporations.
“Most company laptops store data worth thousands of dollars, but very often the laptop does not have the adequate data protection solutions in place to ensure the valuable data. Many SMEs find that the protection systems are either too expensive or too comprehensive to cover their needs. We supply them with a product that is both affordable and flexible, meaning that they can customize the end-product to fully suit their own needs, “says CEO and founder, Daniel C. Elfort.
Along with his team and IBM, Daniel C. Elfort, who previously also worked as the CEO of a hosting company, developed the first generation of the company’s data management service for the same IBM Tivoli platform, which is trusted by the world’s largest corporations. His solution enables the SMEs to get the appropriate protection, but without having to pay for services they do not need.
The company website went online on January 27, 2012 and marks the beginning of what the CEO calls a long-term relationship with the SMEs around the world.
“This is a completely untapped market. It really is a unique solution, because we do not only ensure protection or server capability. We offer the SMEs a product to mould into the data management system they are in need of at a price they can afford to pay, “says Daniel C. Elfort.
GDM Software offers two kinds of the first generation of the data management system, GDM In-A-Box. One is for companies to suit that particular company’s need for data protection. The other is a White Label Partnership, where GDM Software allows internet service providers to offer the data management solution to their clients. Moreover, the White Label Partners have the option of co-branding the solution with IBM.
